Instagram health advice is crap, and here’s why.

A large portion of my job is helping my clients, gain perspective so their life is less messy.

Here’s the game

Visual things, (colour, motion from subject/s or camera, text) and audio (music, soundboard, voice) which have only a slight relevance to the topic or information being communicated.

All of which are ADHD ques pointing to information that’s not worth more than a sentence or a thought.

Repeat that enough to enough people, it becomes a topic of discussion and a thing.

It’s basically random mumbo jumbo. Sometimes there’s a promise attached to it to sell you something.

The results which promote content is creation, followers, to sell you an idea or a course/product. Not long term results.

All my initial clients are individuals who can’t find long term solutions and here’s one topic I find the conversation leads most…

I see American fitness industry influence coming into the Australian professionals, which is silly because they are 5-10 years behind Australia. Australian health/sport-science professionals are known all over the world.

AFL and Rugby has little room for error, so our sport science industry is light years a head of the USA. Over there there’s more a sales game involved because sporting teams are open by corperations and it’s easier to sell new devices or methods than the tradition of something that works. If a team needs a big intervention they will take risks and try new things.

What that means for the general population is we see a lot of gimmicks now. Professionals are studying and copying what other professionals are doing so things are taken out of context very easily.

What works is the basics:

1) Rest.

2) Know why you do things.

3) Allow things to happen to/around you.

4) Enjoy life.

In the mean while… I can massage you to ease the tension, let you find quietness for a moment, help you move better, or help you sleep better.

I can improve your rest component in your life.
